Doing a Cannon Strike from a normal height, whether you hit the opponent or not, will make Cammy stand there as she lands and recovers, allowing the opponent to retaliate (usually a grab). Her entire game revolves around not just DOING this move but the threat that you are NOT going to do this move. The Cannon Strike is the move that makes Cammy who she is. This is completely warranted as Cammy’s specials are extremely powerful and lead to very hard to escape mix-ups.
